For 2008, Kyle Petty continues the heritage of the legendary Petty name in NASCAR as he drives the #45 Marathon Dodge Charger. Last year, Petty started 29 of the 36 races and posted one Top Five finish and one Top Ten, but this year with a new sponsor he’s looking to move up dramatically in the standings.

Petty has totaled eight victories on the NASCAR circuit in his career, so he knows how to get to Victory Lane. In 2005, Petty qualified for all 36 Nextel Cup races, posting two Top Ten finishes and came in 27th place in the drivers’ standings. Off the track, Petty has devoted himself to helping others through his Victory Junction Gang charity which is designed to enrich the lives of children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses.
